What a fantastic week it has been for Year 6! Everyone has shown incredible effort and determination across all areas of learning and beyond.

This week they have been working hard on their athletics skills, showing great teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. In maths, Year 6 have been exploring shapes and angles, identifying different types of angles, measuring them accurately and understanding how they fit into polygons. It’s been brilliant to see so many of them applying their knowledge to solve real-world problems and even spotting angles in everyday objects.

A special mention goes to four boys from our class who represented us at the International Men’s Day event at County Hall in Preston. They took part in discussions and activities that celebrated positive role models and the importance of equality. We are so proud of the way they represented our school and showed maturity and confidence throughout the event.

Year 6, you have shown that hard work, curiosity, and kindness make a winning combination. Let’s keep this momentum going as we head into next week!

Have a lovely weekend with your families and I will see you all on Monday morning.
