We had an amazing Egyptian Day and it really felt like we had stepped back in time!

When we arrived at school, we were so excited to see that lots of children and staff were dressed up in brilliant Egyptian outfits. There were pharaohs, gods, queens and explorers everywhere, which made the day feel extra special.

In the afternoon, we were lucky to have a real Egyptian expert visit us. They told us lots of fascinating facts about life in Ancient Egypt, including the roles of pharaohs, gods and everyday people.

One of the best parts was getting to role play different characters from Egyptian history, which helped us understand what life might have been like thousands of years ago.

We also had the chance to explore a range of Egyptian artefacts. We looked closely at them, asked questions and talked about what they might have been used for and why they were important. It was exciting to see objects linked to our history learning and imagine who might have used them in the past.

It was a fun, memorable day and helped bring our history learning to life. We loved every minute and learned so much along the way!
