These activities are designed to encourage meaningful conversations and shared learning experiences between parents and children, supporting the development of key language skills. By engaging in the talk homework, children can enhance their vocabulary, comprehension, and sequencing abilities.

Parents play a vital role in guiding their children through these activities, helping them express themselves clearly and confidently.

Through these interactive tasks, children will not only build their language skills but also develop a love for stories and a deeper understanding of how to communicate effectively.

Week 2: Character Descriptions

Prompt:

Talk to your child: Discuss the characters in Rapunzel (Rapunzel, the witch, the prince, etc.). Ask your child to describe each character using adjectives (e.g., kind, cruel, clever).

Activity suggestion: Have your child draw a picture of their favourite character and write 3 words that describe them.

Questions to discuss:

How would you describe Rapunzel?

How do you think the witch felt when Rapunzel left?

Why do you think the prince wanted to rescue Rapunzel?
